A well known window at Anafiotika

A well known window at Anafiotika

If you ever visit Athens, Greece, apart from Acropolis and the other well known places, you have to also check the Anafiotika district, which is located just underneath Acropolis. It is in fact a micrography of a Greek island in the very heart of the cement city. It is easy to miss, but you will be really missing it if you don’t visit. The houses are close to each other so you can only walk there, but it worths it. Every corner is as picturesque as a Kyklades island and when you view the rest of the city from up there, it doesn’t look so bad, either.
